The Llanasa General store was run for many years by James Bowen, manager at Trelogan mine and later by Philip Vickers who was church warden and school manager. The last proprietors were Mr and Mrs Walter Peach who were very active in village life. They converted it to a residential property when it became clear that it was no longer financially viable to run it commercially.
